Graduation 2016

My dearest R–, V–, U–, N–, I– and M–
I truly do not have words to express the gratitude and simple “Thank you” for the incredible love, support and nurturing you have given A:) and K:) these last three years. I remember when a little boy first stepped foot at Play and Learn with horrible tantrums, head banging, speech issues and today I saw a beautiful young boy buzzing like a little bee saying his lines and jumping and singing like a sly fox.
I also saw a beautiful little girl, who was once very shy, timid and quiet… hopping into the scene, singing her tunes and shaking her little fox tail, as well.
As you might know like any parent these are my treasures, but again I simply wish to say “Thank you” to all of you for having allowed my K:) and A:) to blossom. You should all feel very proud of the work you do everyday with all of our kids.
Much love

End of Year Show 2016

I received your message yesterday about the performance and the story behind it. What a nice job you all do!
I don’t have enough words or gestures of gratitude to thank all of you for everything you do. I guess we are very fortunate to be part of P&L, and we should enjoy everything single minute.
Big hug and thanks to each of you

This is a special place. My son started preschool here at 3 and half. He happily stays in school everyday (which wasn’t true in his other school) and is doing so well. You can feel the harmony that exists between the director and the staff. It Is a loving and effective environment for children.

They see your child as an individual and will work on his specific goals, while preparing them for their academic future. I feel blessed that I found this very special place and that Vannessa is my son’s teacher.

My recommendation would be to visit this school and speak to the school’s director and you’ll see for yourself, why I feel the way I do.

My daughter started at play and learn nov 2012 and she could not be happier, after trying 3 others places we were lucky to find this wonderful place, the teachers are great they all speak English, since my husband does not speak Spanish it is great that he can communicate with the teachers, also they send a daily report about activities and how she did in school that day I really like that they follow a daily curriculum, this is not your average daycare it is a learning center with lots of activities, our daughter M. has learn so much here when she started at age 2 she only said 5 words after a month her vocabulary increase so much and her attitude about learning too. Now my other daughter S. just started and she is very happy too, it makes me happy to see all of the pictures they take and send it to us, and all of the art that they make daily. I would recommend this place 100%.

I was looking for a family like environment preschool for my two and a half years old. I knew that her first school experience had to be not only encouraging and reassuring, but had to provide a bilingual program with a strong sense of respect for diversity and differences among cultures. After several months looking for the right place I found Play & Learn, the place is a beautiful boutique like preschool, where the cleanness and fun environment is the rule. The preschool also offers a strong learning foundation with a balance discipline program, and playful environment. My daughter has been attending the preschool for the last eight months and her social and communications skill have improved a lot. Now she wakes up every morning asking me to take her to school.

Just wanted to share our wonderful experience with Play and Learn and the staff there. Our son started there at age 2. As expected, the experience of going to a new place without mommy and daddy was probably more traumatic for us than him. The staff immediately was very welcoming and warm and you could tell they really really liked kids and weren’t just babysitting. After that first parting, the only tears my son shed were when it was time to say goodbye to his teachers and new friends when we came to pick him up at the end of a day. It is easy to get him excited about each new school day because each day brings a new activity or theme or experience. After school, he proudly displays his art and sings songs and really frankly plays better with other kids in the park. The teachers always have a warm smile when we drop him off or pick him up and give us a detailed progress report on his behavior torwards them and the other kids. This helps us sort through any issues that arise during his time there. The facility is very safe and secure and they have really gone the extra mile to get the best toys and art materials. I can’t count the number of days he has shown knowledge or new words (Spanish or english) that he said came from his wonderful teachers. We have met strangers in the park who were not very excited about their children’s current schools and have never hesitated to glowingly recommend Play and Learn. Many of them are now his fellow students and new best friends. I can only say to prospective parents to get in now before the classes fill up or rates go up as the word gets out and demand goes through the roof. We feel truly lucky and blessed to have stumbled across this gem.

Nothing happens by chance; meeting Rosa Fernandez has been one of the best things that has happened to me, my family, and specially to my daughter Victoria. All I can say is that my daughter is a different child thanks to the special work and professionalism of Rosa, thanks to her patience and specially her love for what she does.

Thank you, we will always be appreciative of the goals that today my child has reached after only three months of finding this very special place. As parents we appreciate her work and the time she always had to listen to our questions and understand all our worries. We are sure Victoria will never forget her and we will always keep present that thanks to Rosa, Victoria discovered the wonderful gift of language.
